Williams, who has been capped 33 times for Wales, was in his country’s 2022 World Cup squad in Qatar.

The 29-year-old midfielder is out of contract at the end of the current season and is being eyed as a potential signing by Hibs manager Lee Johnson.

Johnson’s side have seen their previous bid rejected by Swindon Town, who want to keep the midfielder at the club.

Hibs are fifth in the Scottish Premiership and are keen to recruit a midfielder in the ongoing transfer window.

And it has been claimed that the League Two outfit have rejected Hibs’ latest bid for the midfielder.

Williams has been a regular in the starting line-ups for the Robins this season and has made 22 league outings, scoring seven goals.

It is unclear whether Hibs will make another bid to sign the midfielder or will look into other options as the transfer deadline approaches.
