The Premier League giants have moved quickly in their attempt to sign a midfielder on deadline day following Christian Eriksen’s ankle injury.

Manchester United have been in talks to sign Sabitzer on loan from Bayern Munich and the negotiations are progressing well.

The midfielder has permission to fly out to Manchester and he is expected to arrive in the north west of England later this evening.

And it has been claimed that the loan deal is likely to have an option to buy for Manchester United.

A broad deal is in place and Manchester United are confident that they will be able to get the loan agreement over the line before the transfer deadline tonight.

They are also expected to have the choice of turning into a permanent deal in the summer if Sabitzer impresses at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag has already spoken to the player and the Austrian has been keen on the move since it emerged Manchester United are interested in him.
