The Glazer family are in the process of selling the club with formal offers expected to be tabled for Manchester United by the end of next week.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is trying to buy his boyhood club but there are real claims of a group of Qatari investors tabling a mega-money bid that could blow the competition out of the water.
Ten Hag has continued to do well against the backdrop of the club potentially getting sold but there are suggestions that the new owners might come in and could want a new manager.
However, Van der Gijp does not see that happening given the fact that his countryman has been doing so well at Old Trafford.
The former winger also indicated that it could be difficult for the new owners to sack Ten Hag given the players love him too.
The Dutchman said on Vandaag Inside: “I don’t think they can kick out a coach who is doing well.
“All the players are happy with him.”
There is also interest in Manchester United from at least two American consortiums and Saudi Arabia.
