Arsenal suffered another disappointing result on Wednesday night when they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Manchester City at the Emirates.
The Gunners have dropped down to second but are level on points with Manchester City having played a game fewer.
However, they have lost two of their last three league games and are currently on a four-game run without a win in all competitions.
Burley pointed out that the chinks in Arsenal’s defence have been exposed in the last two league games against Brentford and Manchester City.
He feels that William Saliba and Gabriel struggled to deal with the physicality and power of Ivan Toney and Manchester City and they are now getting exposed after doing well all season.
Burley said on ESPN FC: “Some food for thought for the Arsenal centre-halves.
“The last two games, they played two big powerful frontlines – Brentford where Mbeumo but more so, Ivan Toney and they struggled defensively.
“Today was Erling Haaland and at times they struggled with that power and physicality.
“So, that’s some food for thought for Saliba and Gabriel.
“They have been great all season but recently they are getting found out.”
Arsenal will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they travel to the Midlands to take on Aston Villa on Saturday.
