Ipswich drew their third league game in a row against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday, which extended the Tractor Boys’ winless run to five matches.
Next, Ipswich will welcome relegation-threatened Forest Green Rovers to Portman Road on Saturday and will be eager to get back on the winning track.
Ferguson admitted that Ipswich are a top side in the division and pointed out that Kieran McKenna’s side have been prolific in front of goal with an aggressive style of football.
However, the Rovers boss insisted that Ipswich being one of the big clubs in League One does not affect his side and that he is confident that his team have capability to match anyone in the division.
When asked whether Ipswich Town being a big club affects his side anyway, Ferguson told Forest Green Rovers TV: “I do not think it affects us at all.
“End of the day, we are at the bottom of the league.
“Everybody is above us, so we’re underdogs in all the games.
“Obviously, Ipswich are a top team.
“They are doing very well this season, scoring a lot of goals, keeping a lot of possession, keeping a high line and very aggressive on the press.
“We know they are a top team, but we feel we are a match for anybody at the moment.”
Ipswich have picked up only one win in their last eight league games and McKenna’s side will be eager to get three points from Saturday’s clash to revitalise their campaign.
