Paqueta scored against Newcastle United earlier in the month but had to limp off the field in last weekend’s game against Chelsea.
Moyes was glad to have had his summer signings, including Paqueta, finally firing for West Ham but he has now received a setback.
The West Ham boss has revealed that the Brazilian star will not be available against Tottenham, while centre-back Nayef Aguerd is touch-and-go.
Striker Gianluca Scamacca is back in training but will not start against Tottenham, with Moyes stressing he will receive limited minutes on the pitch, if indeed he comes on.
“Lucas Paqueta is not going to be available”, Moyes said in a press conference ahead of the Tottenham game.
“Nayef has a chance, but we’re not sure if he’s ready or not.
“It’s great that Gianluca is back training, but he’s not ready to be selected yet.
“I might be able to get him involved, but minutes will be limited.”
Paqeuta has not missed a Premier League game since October and he will be hoping that his injury will not make him unavailable for any more matches.
