The Blues returned to winning ways after their weekend win against Forest Green Rovers, ending their five-game winless run.
On Saturday, McKenna will take his side to lock horns with Jackson’s MK Dons, whom they beat 3-0 in their last meeting in August.
However, the Ipswich manager stated that MK Dons have changed significantly since their last meeting and believes that Jackson’s side attempted to change their profile during the January transfer window.
McKenna warned his squad about the threat that MK Dons carry with their pace and power and believes that they have to be careful while going forward against them.
“Of course, they have changed quite a bit tactically, brought in quite a lot of personnel and brought in a lot of new players”, McKenna told Ipswich’s in-house media.
“In January, they tried to change the profile of the squad.
“They brought in a lot of pace and power and 1v1 ability.
“They changed a little bit of their set-up and changed their system.
“They changed their set-up in terms of a real focus on transitions and fast attack and using that 1v1 high up the pitch, so it brings different challenges to what they stood for previously and we need to be ready for that.
“We need to focus on ourselves while going to attack the game.
“We need to respect their threats, which are quite unique in terms of that threat.”
Ipswich are third in the League One table with 60 points from 32 games and are promotion hopefuls this season.
