Alli has struggled to impress while on loan in Turkey, turning up on the scoresheet only twice this season in the Super Lig.

Upon the return of the Turkish league over the weekend, the Everton loanee played only 45 minutes in a 0-0 draw for his side against bottom-half side Antalyaspor.

Gunes does not think Alli has lived up to expectations at the Turkish club, highlighting that the Everton attacker is having problems making goal contributions.

The Besiktas boss revealed that whatever happens until the end of the season, Alli is unlikely to continue beyond the summer at the Turkish club.

“Dele Alli didn’t add the efficiency we thought he would”, Gunes said in a press conference post the Antalyaspor game.

“He was doing positive things in the last two friendly matches.

“He has problems in giving assists and scoring goals.

“Whether he plays well or badly, he is a player who is likely to leave at the end of the season.”

Alli has received criticism from Besiktas fans, while the Everton loan star has also sometimes cut a less than happy figure in Turkey.

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is expected to head back to Everton in the summer and put himself at the disposal of Sean Dyche.
