Sakala found the back of the net for the second game running in Rangers’ 4-1 win over Hibernian away from home on Wednesday night.

He also laid on two more assists in Rangers’ 4-1 win and was the decisive factor for Beale’s side Easter Road.

The Zambian has emerged as one of the key players at Rangers under Beale and has come into his own under his management.

Allan credited the Rangers manager for getting the best out of Sakala since his arrival and believes opposition teams are now struggling to contain the attacker given his creative instincts.

The former Scottish Premiership star said on Sky Sports Scotland: “I think he has been the key player over the last few months.

“Michael Beale is definitely getting the best out of him and he looks like a real threat whether that’s creating or getting goals now.

“Teams are struggling to find a way to stop him.”

Rangers will be looking to book a place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup on Sunday when they take Raith Rovers at Ibrox.
