Spurs are exploring options to replace Antonio Conte following the Italian’s outburst after the 2-2 draw against Southampton.

Nagelsmann is one name that has been strongly linked, with the 35-year-old now free to take over following his surprise sacking by Bayern Munich.

Tottenham tried to appoint Nagelsmann following the departure of Jose Mourinho, but came up short in their efforts.

However, Spurs were made aware that Nagelsmann has a soft spot for the club and they are now expected to look to hold talks with him about potentially appointing him.

It remains to be seen if Nagelsmann will want a quick return to management at Tottenham, or if he is eyeing a break to recharge his batteries.

Current Tottenham manager Conte’s position has come under the scanner following an outburst against both the players and the hierarchy.

It has been claimed that Spurs’ players expect Conte to be sacked soon, but there has yet to be any announcement and the Italian remains in charge.
