The north London club announced on Sunday night that Conte has left the club by mutual consent, just a few months away from his contract expiring.

His post-match comments about the club and the players at Southampton made his position untenable and the decision to part ways with him was made last week.

Ryan Mason was expected to take interim charge, but it emerged Conte’s assistant Cristian Stellini will be the interim manager until the end of the season.

And it has been claimed that more or less Conte’s entire staff will remain at Tottenham for the rest of the campaign.

Only, Gianluca Conte, his brother and analyst, has left the club alongside the Italian as part of the process.

Stellini has been part of Conte’s staff since his time at Inter and arrived at Tottenham alongside him.

There was an upswing in Tottenham’s form when he was in charge of the team while the Italian was recuperating from surgery.

He is popular amongst the players and Tottenham are hopeful that Stellini will provide a steady hand as the club look for a fourth different manager in two years.
