The north London outfit decided to part ways with Antonio Conte after his post match comments regarding the club culture and mentality following Tottenham’s 3-3 draw against Southampton.

Tottenham have appointed Conte’s assistant Cristian Stellini as their caretaker manager until the end of the season, giving the club time to find a long-term replacement.

It has been suggested that the latest to be added to Tottenham’s shortlist is Zidane, who has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid at the end of the 2020/21 season

Vega indicated that Zidane would not be a good option for Tottenham as the former France international cannot speak English, which could pose a communication barrier between him and Spurs’ players.

“He can’t speak English!”, Vega wrote on Twitter.

“Only French, Spanish and a bit Italian.”

Tottenham have also identified recently sacked Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann and former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino as potential candidates for their managerial role.
