On Wednesday, despite trailing by two goals, Moore’s side made a comeback to draw 2-2 against Cheltenham with the help of strikes from Aden Flint and Lee Gregory.

The draw against Cheltenham extended Sheffield Wednesday’s winless run to four games and they missed out on the opportunity to go to the top of the table.

Moore stressed that League One is a tough division to be in and pointed out that the moment a team lose focus by underestimating small teams, they are bound to be punished.

The Sheffield Wednesday boss stated that he is pleased with his players display of a fighting nature against Cheltenham and believes that Wednesday’s result provides them the platform to build for the upcoming challenges.

“In this league, the minute you take your eyes off the ball and expect to just get results against so-called lesser teams, that’s when you come unstuck”, Moore told Yorkshire Live.

“I know that no game in this league is a given.

“It’s a difficult league and we’ve faced three really tough away games.

“I was pleased at Cheltenham with the fighting spirit we showed at 2-0 down because it stops the rot after those two losses.

“That’s where the character showed and it’s certainly something to build on.”

After three straight away fixtures in the league, Sheffield Wednesday will return to Hillsborough to host Lincoln City on Saturday.
