Allardyce dropped some bombs in his first press conference as Leeds manager on Wednesday afternoon.

The veteran tactician has been roped in to save Leeds from getting relegated with four games left in the season and he insisted that he is one of the best managers in the Premier League.

Allardyce appeared in a bullish mood and stressed that he is as good a manager as Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp or Arteta.

And McCoist also claimed that in a fight for survival in the Premier League, he would rather have Allardyce as his manager rather than Guardiola or Arteta despite their achievements.

He said on talkSPORT: “I think Guardiola is a genius, I think Arteta is well on the road to building a fantastic side at Arsenal.

“However, if was Leeds right now and I was offered one of the three of them to get my team to stay up, it probably would be Sam.”

Allardyce will have a chance to back up his claims when his Leeds side take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Saturday.
