The 32-year-old goalkeeper joined Hull on loan from Newcastle and managed to keep five clean sheets in 12 outings for the Tigers.

Darlow impressed Rosenior with his performances and the manager is interested in signing the experienced goalkeeper from the St. James’ Park outfit this summer.

Rosenior revealed that he had a good conversation with the Newcastle star regarding his future and admitted that Darlow is a key target for the summer.

The Hull boss stated that Darlow is enjoying his time with the Tigers and stressed that the player is fully aware of how highly he thinks of him.

“Karl’s a target, and I had a great conversation with Karl“, Rosenior told Hull Live.

“Karl’s loving it here, and he understands why I gave Matty Ingram his chance [at Luton].

“I try to reward the players who deserve it, and Matty has given the club great service this season, he’s had a frustrating time of it but he deserved to play the game.

“Karl knows what I think of him, I want him here in the long term and hopefully, we can get something done.”

Newcastle are well stocked in the goalkeeper department and might let Darlow move on to Hull if the right offer comes in.
