The Gers are without a director of football after Ross Wilson was lured south of the border to take a similar role at Nottingham Forest.

Boss Michael Beale is currently absorbing some of Wilson’s work and leading the hunt in the transfer market for new signings.

Now Rangers are stepping up their director of football hunt and are using Executives In Sport Group.

The head hunters are contacting potential candidates as they look to present Rangers with a list of options.

It remains to be seen who EISG will propose to Rangers, but the group has worked with Premier League sides such as Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gers are looking at a summer rebuild as they try to overhaul Celtic.

It is unlikely any director of football could make a big impact on the summer transfer window, but Rangers want to have a deal-maker in place going forward.
