Tottenham are still very much in the midst of identifying their preferred new manager and are still considering several candidates.

Slot has gradually emerged as an odds-on favourite to become the next Tottenham boss after leading Feyenoord to the Eredivisie this season.

The Dutch champions are indeed afraid of losing the 44-year-old Dutch coach to the north London club.

But it has been claimed that Slot is still not the firm favourite to become the next manager at Tottenham.

The Premier League club have not made a firm decision despite their admiration for the Feyenoord boss.

There are other names who are still being considered with Celtic boss Postecoglou still in the race.

Tottenham are not under any pressure to make an announcement before the end of the season.

Ryan Mason has made it clear that he wants to be considered for the permanent job but Tottenham are unlikely to turn to that option.
