Radrizzani is attempting to complete a takeover over of Sampdoria, who will be playing in Serie B next season.

The team are rooted to the bottom of the league table in Serie A but their problems off the pitch are dire due to their precarious financial position.

The club are expected to be sold with several suitors wanting them and Radrizzani has reportedly made an offer.

He was spotted entering the headquarters of the club today to hold talks over buying the Italian club in the coming days and weeks.

The Leeds owner is hopeful of presenting both a compelling financial and sporting offer to the club’s board.

He revealed his hope in everything going according to plan and him taking charge of Sampdoria soon.

Radrizzani told Sky Italia when asked about his chances of buying Sampdoria: “Let’s hope, fingers crossed.”

He will spend the rest of the afternoon at the club’s offices and hold detailed talks with Sampdoria.

Leeds could change hands as well as the 49ers have an option to buy a majority stake from Radrizzani this year.
