Dyche was appointed in January, when Everton were struggling to get out of the relegation zone.

Everton are currently sitting in 17th place in the league table, two points clear of the drop zone going into the last game of the season, and know that they have the edge over Leeds and Leicester.

Giles is of the view that Dyche has handled the crisis situation since his arrival at Everton better than it has been handled at Leeds and Leicester.

The former top-flight star pointed out that Everton’s appointment of Dyche in January gave him the necessary time to understand his players, which has left them in a better position going into the final matchday.

“When teams are in the position that Leeds are in and Everton are in, it’s desperation”, Giles said on Off The Ball.

“I think Dyche has handled it better than the other two [Leeds United and Leicester City] because he has been there longer, he knows his best players and he has to live with them.

“He is in the best position, as we know.

“He is playing Bournemouth…and he knows that if they win that match, end of story.”

Everton will take on Bournemouth on Sunday and a win over the Cherries will guarantee their survival irrespective of the results of Leeds and Leicester.
