Spurs signed the defender last summer and immediately decided to send him to back Udinese on loan for the season.

The 20-year-old left-back has been a big part of the Udinese side in the just-concluded Serie A campaign and is now set to return to Tottenham.

Udogie has thanked Udinese for giving him a chance to show his ability and quality over the last two seasons.

He is grateful that the Italian club provided him with the platform but he is now ready for his future.

The defender is now ready to test himself and prove himself in the Premier League at Tottenham.

Udogie was quoted as saying by Italian outlet Calciomercato.com: “I have to thank the club for having invested and believed in me over the last two seasons.

“I can’t say anything but thank you.

I knew my qualities, I just wanted to express them and Udinese gave me this great chance.

“I am ready for the future and for the Premier League.”

With Tottenham set to appoint Ange Postecoglou as their new manager, it remains to be seen whether Udogie would be part of the Australian’s plans.
