Gerrard has been out of work since he was sacked by Aston Villa last year and has been looking for a way back into football management.

The former Liverpool midfielder confirmed that he rejected an offer to manager Al Ettifaq last month as he felt it was not a move for him.

But it has been claimed that the former England star could indeed end up in Saudi Arabia to revive his career as a manager.

It has been claimed that talks have resumed between Gerrard and Al Ettifaq over a move to the Saudi Arabian club.

The former Rangers and Aston Villa boss is indeed now leaning towards accepting an offer from the club.

He is desperate to get back into management and Al Ettifaq are offering him a chance to revive his career.

A final decision has not been made but there is now a real possibility of the former Scottish Premiership-winning manager working in Saudi Arabia.

Al Ettifaq are not one of the clubs owned by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund.
