Jurgen Klopp is revamping the squad with incomings as well as significant outgoings to hit the ground running in the upcoming season.

The likes of Dominik Szobozlai, and Alexis Mac Allister have joined the Reds while James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain have bid their goodbyes.

Now Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ittihad are claimed to be preparing a £40m bid for Fabinho to snap him up.

However, the Reds are not willing to let go of their midfielder without bringing a capable replacement in.

The Brazilian was an important part of Klopp’s midfield last season, where he made 49 appearances in all competitions.

Despite bringing in fresh faces, the Anfield outfit are yet to sign a deep-lying midfielder who can play Fabinho’s role.

But they have been linked to Frenchman Khephren Thuram and Southampton’s 19-year-old Romeo Lavia in the transfer window.

It remains to be seen when the Saudi Arabian outfit will submit their offer and whether it will be enough for Fabinho, who has three years remaining on his contract.
