The 19-year-old midfielder was in impressive form last season at Bristol City and is wanted at several clubs in the Premier League this summer.

West Ham have held initial talks over signing the youngster and are now weighing up making a move for the player in the ongoing transfer window.

Wolves have also been keeping tabs on him given his talent and his performances in the Championship.

But it has been claimed that the Molineux outfit are no longer in the race to sign the midfielder anymore this summer.

Wolves are working under tight financial constraints and have also set a limit on their spending in the ongoing window.

They do not want to spend more than £20m on any single player and Scott is likely to be out of their range.

Bristol City want somewhere around £25m before sanctioning Scott’s sale ahead of the new season and have turned down a bid of £15m from Bournemouth.
