Eddie Howe has conceded that Saint-Maximin is likely to be sold as Newcastle seek to bring in funds to comply with FFP regulations.

The Frenchman has also decided to move on and he has an offer on his table to join Saudi outfit Al Ahli.

Talks are under way between all the relevant parties that could see the winger leave Newcastle for an initial fee of £30m.

It has been claimed that Al Ahli have been making progress in the negotiations to sign Saint-Maximin from Newcastle.

The structure of the deal is being discussed as the winger closes in on leaving Newcastle this summer.

However, an agreement is still not in place and the player is yet to sign anything with Al Ahli.

The Saudi side will also have to agree terms on a contract with the Frenchman ahead of signing him.

Howe has reluctantly agreed to sell the player as Newcastle could get stuck in the market without at least one major sale.
