The 23-year-old defensive midfielder joined Crystal Palace from French outfit Lens last summer.
And Doucoure made a positive impression in his first season with the Eagles in the Premier League, where he made 34 league appearances while receiving eight cautions.
Doucoure’s performances last season have managed to catch the eye of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp and the Reds manager is claimed to be keen to take him to Anfield.
Crystal Palace want £70m to £80m for Doucoure, who has four years left on his contract with the Eagles.
It has been claimed that despite Liverpool’s interest in the midfielder, they have yet to contact Crystal Palace directly for the Mali international.
The Reds have already strengthened their midfield with the additions of Alexis MacAllister and Dominik Szoboszlai.
But they are in the market for another midfielder as Klopp’s side are expected to lose Fabinho and Jordan Henderson this summer.
Now all eyes will be on Liverpool to see whether they will soon make a move for Doucoure or shift their attention to other targets given his steep price tag.
