Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick has shown his thorough interest in bringing Giles back for the upcoming season, having been impressed by the full-back’s performances last season.

Boro are desperate to add more depth to the left-back position as they have Hayden Coulson as the only senior option for that position, while Luton Town are also interested in Giles.

Wolves have been tipped to only decide on Giles’ future once they finish their pre-season action, but it appears they could be poised to take a call before then.

Now however it is claimed that the Molineux outfit are becoming increasingly likely to sell him.

It has been suggested if Wolves secure the signature of Aaron Cresswell from West Ham, they would let at least one of the three left-backs present at the club, leave.

And they would be more likely to accept an offer for a permanent transfer rather than loaning him out.

The 23-year-old had an impressive last campaign where he registered 12 assists in his 48 appearances in Carrick’s team.

Wolves had been under pressure to bring in money to comply with financial fair play regulations, but following several exits that has now eased.
