Manchester United are currently working on bringing in a striker and have been in talks with Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund.

They have already signed Mason Mount and Andre Onana and are prioritising bringing in a new number 9 before looking at other areas of their squad.

But Erik ten Hag still wants a midfielder and Manchester United have already made steady progress in talks for Fiorentina’s Amrabat.

The midfielder has given his nod of approval to the move and according to local daily Corriere Fiorentino, personal terms are in place between the player and Manchester United.

The Moroccan has given his verbal agreement to a four-year contract worth €4m per year with Manchester United.

With a deal in place between Amrabat and the Red Devils, Manchester United will now have to find an agreement with Fiorentina.

La Viola are prepared to sell the player for a fee of around €25m this summer and are waiting for concrete offers to land on their table.

Manchester United are only likely to press the trigger on a bid for Amrabat once they sign a striker.
