Spurs are keen on adding a centre forward to their squad after losing Harry Kane to Bayern Munich recently.

New Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou has identified Gent’ 21-year-old striker, Orban, as an ideal candidate who fits the club’s profile.

Orban has four years left on his contract with the Belgian outfit and he is very highly rated at Gent.

Tottenham have opened negotiations with Gent and, according to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, the talks between the two parties are expected to accelerate this week.

It has been said that Gent have let Tottenham know that they want €30m for the forward.

Spurs have yet to send any bid for Orban but they are expected to send their initial offer soon.

Last season, Orban joined Gent in the winter transfer window and scored a total of 20 goals in 22 outings.

Now it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will be able to land the highly rated centre forward this summer.
