The Whites have been chasing the forward over the last few days and the transfer saga has already seen several twists and turns.

Leeds considered pulling out of the deal after Genk tried to demand more money for the transfer.

The talks had not progressed, with Leeds not responding to Genk’s counter proposal after seeing an offer turned down.

However, according to French outlet Foot Mercato, the two clubs have an agreement over a fee for the transfer of Paintsil.

The forward has also given his nod of approval to personal terms on a contract with the Yorkshire giants.

However, the transfer is still not close to completion as the player and his agent are now arguing over a payoff with Genk.

Paintsil is due a loyalty bonus from Genk and the two sides are yet to reach an agreement over a payoff.

Leeds are eagerly waiting to get the deal over the line but for the moment, the transfer is yet to go through.
