The Magpies had a slow start to the season but have turned their form around to climb up to sixth place in the league table and show signs of again competing for a top four spot.
Newcastle are on a seven-match unbeaten run in the league and last weekend defeated Arsenal 1-0 at St. James’ Park.
Sheffield United suffered an 8-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle and Blades star Archer pointed out that the Magpies have the energy to beat anyone on their day
Archer stated that Newcastle may not have the same quality in their squad as Manchester City and Chelsea do, but they compensate for the lack of quality with energy.
“I think that Newcastle game really hit us”, Archer, asked about his side’s toughest Premier League challenge, told Blades TV.
“Obviously, it was difficult, but they have that energy.
“I do not think they have as much quality as Manchester City, Chelsea and stuff, so they bring that energy, and I think when you bring that energy, I feel you can really beat anyone.”
Newcastle are set to take on Bournemouth at the weekend and they will be hoping to snatch three points before going into the international break.
