Georginio Rutter has stressed the importance of Leeds United manager Daniel Farke’s ability to provide confidence to the forwards even when they are not scoring.
Rutter has looked a transformed player under Farke this season at Leeds and has been one of the most important players at Elland Road.
He struggled following his arrival at Leeds in January this year but under the new Whites boss, he has gone from strength to strength in the ongoing campaign.
Rutter outlined Farke’s role behind the scenes in lifting the pressure from attackers at Leeds.
He claimed that the Leeds boss is in constant communication with the forwards in the squad and insisted that he is making sure that they are not under too much pressure to score every week.
The Leeds attacker said on the Official Leeds United Podcast: “The coach speaks a lot with the players.
“He speaks a lot with me, Joel [Piroe] and Patrick [Bamford] as well and he gives confidence.
“When as a player you don’t score, he is speaking about the same, ‘if you are not scoring this week, you will score next week’.
“I have a good partnership with Joel as well and he is my neighbour as well.”
Rutter has netted four goals and laid on nine assists in 21 Championship appearances in the ongoing campaign.
