Tottenham Hotspur target Conor Gallagher will not be available for a cut-price fee in the January transfer window, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

Gallagher has a little over 18 months left on his contract and his future is again up for debate ahead of the January transfer window.

Tottenham were interested in signing him last summer and were prepared to offer as much as £35m to take him to north London.

The north London club are again monitoring his situation but Chelsea want a significantly bigger fee for the midfielder.

It has been claimed that the Blues will only consider offers of between £45m to £50m for Gallagher in the winter window.

Mauricio Pochettino rates the player and the midfielder himself is prepared to stay and fight for his place in the team.

He is not pushing for a move and Chelsea believe that they have no reason to accept a cut-price fee for him in January.

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham are prepared to get close to or match Chelsea’s asking price for Gallagher.

Spurs’ priority for the January transfer window is to sign another centre-back.
