Tottenham Hotspur want a replacement lined up before potentially agreeing to loan out Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the January transfer window.

Hojbjerg has been a bit part player at Tottenham this season and has been linked with a move away from the club next month.

He has suitors in Italy where Juventus and Napoli are interested in getting their hands on him in the winter window.

La Liga giants Atletico Madrid also have their eyes on the midfielder and Spurs are open to loaning him out with a mandatory purchase clause of €30m.

But according to Italian outlet TuttoJuve, the north London club want a replacement lined up before letting the Dane go.

Ange Postecoglou’s squad have been riddled with injuries this season and the Australian does not want to further weaken his options.

The Spurs boss is prepared to let Hojbjerg depart if a deal can be agreed upon but he also wants a replacement.

Tottenham want to be sure about getting a replacement before agreeing to loan out the Dane and their priority is to sign another centre-back in the window.
