Tottenham Hotspur are yet to hold formal talks with Chelsea for the signature of Conor Gallagher in the winter transfer window, according to talkSPORT.

Last summer, Tottenham showed interest in signing Gallagher, but Chelsea decided to keep hold of him, with the player rated by Mauricio Pochettino.

Spurs have retained their interest in the midfielder and they want to bring him to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in January.

Gallagher has been a regular in Pochetinho’s starting line-up this season and has 18 months left on his contract.

It has been speculated he could still be sold as his exit would help Chelsea’s financial fair play calculations as they look to make signings of their own and Spurs are keen.

But it has been claimed that Tottenham are yet to hold formal talks with their London rivals Chelsea regarding a potential transfer for Gallagher.

It is suggested that Chelsea will only consider an offer in the region of £45m to £50m part ways with Gallagher in the winter.

Last summer, Tottenham were interested in paying £35m for the midfielder and it remains to be seen whether Spurs will be willing to match Chelsea’s expectations for Gallagher.
