Andrey Santos’ entourage are open to a move to Newcastle United, but a deal to sign the Chelsea midfielder will be complicated, according to the Chronicle.

The 19-year-old midfielder joined Nottingham Forest on loan last summer but he has made just one Premier League appearance at the City Ground.

Chelsea have ended his loan and he has now headed back to the capital.

Santos has been heavily linked with a move to Newcastle, who are in the market for midfield reinforcements in January.

The midfielder’s agency are receptive to a move to Newcastle in the ongoing transfer window.

However, there is a complication if Newcastle decide to try and sign the young midfielder on loan.

They would have to agree to push through the transfer of Lewis Hall early as they cannot have two players on loan from the same club.

Hall has been a bit part player at Newcastle this season and he has made just one start in the Premier League.
