Leeds United out on loan defender Robin Koch has agreed to join Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer in the summer, it has been claimed in Germany.

A clause in his Leeds contract meant that Koch was allowed to join Eintracht Frankfurt on loan last summer once the Whites got relegated from the Premier League.

The German has been a defensive mainstay for the Bundesliga outfit this season and has been hugely impressive.

Eintracht Frankfurt have been in talks with the defender to sign him on a permanent deal and it would be a free transfer as his contract with Leeds expires at the end of the season.

And according to German broadcaster Sky Deutschland, Eintracht Frankfurt and Koch have reached an agreement over a deal for him to turn his loan into a permanent move.

The defender will now complete a move to Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer at the end of the season, ending any thoughts of Leeds convincing him to sign a new deal at Elland Road.

He will sign a three-year contract with Eintracht Frankfurt once his loan deal expires with the club in the coming months.

When Koch pens the deal it will formally mark the end of his time as a Leeds player, with no hope that he could continue, even if the Whites go back up to the Premier League.
