Sheffield Wednesday are closing in on a loan deal for Troyes forward Ike Ugbo, who is currently on loan with Cardiff City, according to the Star.

Danny Rohl wants to reshuffle his squad in the winter transfer window to boost Sheffield Wednesday’s survival hopes in the Championship.

And Sheffield Wednesday have made signing a forward their top priority in the ongoing window.

The Owls have set their sights on former Chelsea star Ugbo, who is on loan at Cardiff City from French outfit Troyes.

25-year-old centre forward Ugbo has made 20 appearances for Cardiff City this season, scoring four times for the Bluebirds.

It has been claimed that the Owls are progressing in their attempt to agree a deal with Troyes to take Ugbo on loan for the rest of the season.

Ugbo is a product of the Chelsea academy system and joined Troyes in the winter of 2022.

Sheffield Wednesday have been active in the January transfer window since the beginning and all eyes will be on the Owls to see whether they can secure a deal for Ugbo.
