Danish club FC Midtjylland will receive a big sell-on if Liverpool target Ousmane Diomande is sold by Sporting Lisbon.
Sporting Lisbon signed the 20-year-old centre-back from the Danish outfit in January 2023.
Diomande has established himself as a key player in the starting line-up of the Portuguese giants and is being tipped as one of the top defensive talents in European football.
Liverpool are keen on signing Diomande and are expected to launch a swoop for another centre-back in the summer transfer window.
Joel Matip’s contract with Liverpool are set to end in June and Jurgen Klopp thinks Diomande is a good fit for his squad.
And if Liverpool do splash the cash, it would be welcome for Danish side Midtjylland as they have a big sell-on percentage in Diomande, according to Danish outlet Bold.
The Danish outfit negotiated a sell-on clause, which will help them receive 20 per cent of the transfer fee Sporting Lisbon receive for the Liverpool target.
Diomande has a €80m release clause in his contract and it remains to be seen whether Liverpool will be interested in digging deep for the defender, who is also interesting other clubs.
