Sheffield Wednesday are set to make an improved and final offer to Orlando City today to rival Blackburn Rovers for the signature of Duncan McGuire, according to NationalWorld.
The Owls are keen on bolstering their front line in this window to keep their survival hopes alive.
Sheffield Wednesday have identified Orlando City’s forward McGuire as a good fit for their squad.
However, McGuire is also on Blackburn Rovers’ transfer wish list and it has been suggested that they are set to beat the Owls to the signature of the forward.
Sheffield Wednesday also made an offer for McGuire, but Blackburn’s offer consisted of a better payment structure.
However, the Owls have refused to give up on the hope of landing McGuire, as they are set to submit an improved and final offer to the MLS outfit for the player today.
It is suggested that McGuire has to make a decision now and he has to fly to England tonight to complete a deal before the deadline.
Now all eyes will be on Sheffield Wednesday to see whether they will be able to hijack McGuire’s move to Blackburn with their new offer.
