Duncan McGuire is currently in a hotel in Sheffield as he hopes for a move to Sheffield Wednesday to happen, according to Sky Sports News.
The Orlando City striker looked poised to join Blackburn Rovers and was on the way to complete a move to Ewood Park.
It collapsed though when McGuire was in mid-air, but he could still have an escape route to the Championship before the window closes.
Sheffield Wednesday are firm admirers of McGuire and had been battling Blackburn for his signature.
Now McGuire is sat inside a hotel in Sheffield as he waits to see what will happen.
It is suggested that McGuire is hoping that he will be able to join Sheffield Wednesday.
Danny Rohl would like additions to his squad before the window closes and wants McGuire.
The Owls though will have to find common ground with Orlando City if the switch is to be able to go through.
