Liverpool managerial target Roberto De Zerbi has given his club Brighton & Hove Albion no indication that he wants to leave in the summer, according to talkSPORT.

De Zerbi has won praise for his work at Brighton and after qualifying for the Europa League last season they are well on course to repeat last season’s heroics.

Brighton are currently placed seventh in the league table and qualified for the next round of the Europa League by finishing on top of Group B.

Teams have taken note of Brighton’s form and are showing interest in luring Brighton’s manager De Zerbi away.

Liverpool, who will be without a manager following the departure of Jurgen Klopp at the end of the season, are claimed to consider him to be an option.

The 44-year-old has also been linked with a move to Barcelona, where he would replace Xavi.

However, De Zerbi has given no indication to Brighton that he is keen on leaving the club at this point.

In fact, the club are holding discussions with their manager to extend his current contract that runs until 2026.

Brighton’s case for holding on to their manager is being helped by the fact that they are currently under no pressure to sell any of their star players.
