Hibernian star Jair Tavares has revealed that he talks with his former Benfica team-mate and Aberdeen attacker Duk a lot.
Tavares and Duk both came through the Benfica academy system and moved to the Scottish Premiership in the summer of 2021.
Duk has established himself as a regular starter in the Aberdeen team and after a tough first season with Hibs, this season Tavares has managed to find his feet at his new club.
Celtic’ have loaned in Paulo Bernardo, who is also a former team-mate of Duk and Tavares, from Benfica this season and the Hibs star admitted that he is in touch with his former team-mates.
However, Tavares stated that he talks more with Aberdeen star Duk than Bernardo and stressed that both players talk every week.
When asked whether he is in touch with Duk and Bernardo, Tavares told Portuguese daily A Bola: “I don’t usually see them, but we talk a lot.
“More with Duk than Paulo.
“Duk and I talk every week.”
Duk has featured 39 times in all competitions for Aberdeen this season and has seven goals and four assists under his belt.
