Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has insisted that Jadon Sancho’s future is in the hands of Manchester United.

Sancho joined Dortmund from Manchester United on loan for the rest of the season and has enjoyed being back at the Westfalenstadion.

He has played a role in taking Dortmund to the Champions League final where they will face Real Madrid this weekend.

Manchester United want to sell Sancho but it is unlikely that Dortmund would be able to pay a big transfer fee and meet the winger’s wage demands.

Dortmund want to hold on to him and Watzke admitted that there is no doubt that is what they want this summer.

However, the Dortmund CEO stressed that Manchester United are the ones who are in control of Sancho’s fate.

“That’s not in our hands, the matter lies with Manchester United”, Watzke told Bild (via Fussball Transfers).

“We don’t need to talk about the fact that we would of course very much like to keep Jadon.”

Sancho is scheduled to return to Manchester United in the summer but the club are keen to sell him in the summer.

The club are hopeful that more clubs will show an interest in the winger following his loan spell at Dortmund.
