Roma could be helped out of a financial hole by Premier League outfit Aston Villa, with Unai Emery’s side tipped as a possible destination for Giallorossi attacker Tammy Abraham.
The Giallorossi, who sacked Jose Mourinho earlier this year and put Daniele De Rossi in charge, need to bring in cash by the end of the month.
The Serie A club need to raise €10m from player sales before the end of June as they look to try to balance the books.
English striker Abraham is a player who could be sacrificed and, according to Italian journalist Marco Conteiro, Aston Villa could be his destination.
Villa rate Abraham and with another striker on the agenda at Villa Park, Abraham could represent a solution.
Abraham missed most of this season through injury and only made eight Serie A appearances.
He scored against Napoli towards the end of the campaign and also provided an assist in a defeat to Atalanta.
Whether Aston Villa will make a move for the former Chelsea man remains to be seen, but he could be available for a cut-price fee due to Roma’s cash need.
