There has been a major twist in the move of Tottenham Hotspur target Archie Gray to Brentford from Leeds United after the Whites rejected the deal, according to Sky Sports News.

Gray has looked to be on his way to Brentford and Premier League football next season with claims Leeds have accepted a bid in the region of £40m.

The midfielder was set to be put through his medical after agreeing personal terms of £75,000 per week.

There has now been a major twist though as Leeds have decided not to accept Brentford’s bid.

The Whites believe the cash on the table for Gray is not good enough.

Brentford have been concerned about clubs trying to hijack the deal and Tottenham were tipped to be the side to watch if anything did happen.

Spurs are big admirers of Gray, but it is unclear if they have made a late move which has caused Leeds to turn down Brentford’s bid.

As it stands, the deal is off and Gray will not be heading to Brentford.

Leeds though have PSR financial concerns and it was thought selling Gray would put them in the clear.
