Manchester United and Bayern Munich have a level of trust in each other as the two clubs continue talks for the potential transfer of Matthijs de Ligt to Old Trafford this summer.


De Ligt has given his consent to a move to the Premier League giants and has made it clear to Bayern Munich that he only wants to join Manchester United.

However, according to Italian outlet, ‘a climate of trust’ is in place between the two clubs during the talks.

There is positivity on both sides that an agreement will be in place for De Ligt to join Manchester United.



The Dutchman is free to complete a transfer following the Netherlands’ defeat to England in the European Championship semi-final on Wednesday evening.
