According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, the Sporting Lisbon defender’s agent has travelled to England to speak to Liverpool.
The discussions though are just informal conversations rather than solid deal talks, though Liverpool have a real interest.
The 22-year-old left-footed central defender is considered an important part of Ruben Amorim’s side as he played 49 times for the Portuguese giants last term.
The release clause in his contract is set at €60m.
