Chelsea striker Armando Broja has completed his medical with Ipswich Town and is likely to be announced as a new signing for the Tractor Boys tomorrow, according to the Ipswich Star.

Ipswich have been working on a deal for the 22-year-old striker and are now close to sealing it.

It will be a season-long loan deal initially but Kieran McKenna’s team will have an option to make the move permanent at the end of the spell.

The option will become an obligation in the event that Ipswich retain their top-flight status at the end of the season.

Chelsea will earn a fee in the region of £30m from the permanent sale.

The deal is now close to being sealed with the newly-promoted Premier League outfit having already given Broja his medical.

The last few bits of paperwork are now being completed and an official announcement is likely to be made on Thursday.

Borja went out on loan to Fulham for the second half of last season but the spell was not a particularly productive one for the player as he finished with one assist in eight appearances.
