Arsenal and Chelsea have reached the final stages of negotiations for the Gunners to sign Raheem Sterling, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Chelsea boss Enzo Marecsa has made it clear that Sterling is not part of his plans and will not play for the Blues this season.
With Manchester United out of the race to sign Sterling, Arsenal came late into the scene for Sterling’s swoop.
The English winger has been offered to the north Londoners and Mikel Arteta is interested as well.
Arsenal do not want complications so they are opting for a straight loan and Sterling is also willing to do the deal.
Now it has been suggested that both the London clubs are making steady progress in conversations and the deal is at an advanced point now.
The Gunners have also opened the door for Reiss Nelson in last few hours for him to leave; he is currently closing in on joining Ipswich Town.
Now it remains to be seen if Sterling will be able to secure to move to north Londoners in the dying hours of the transfer window.
