Chelsea’s pursuit of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is being held up by the negotiations of incentives in the player’s contract, according to Sky Sports News.

Osimhen has prioritised a move to Chelsea over interest from Al-Ahli who have an agreement in place with Napoli and have offered him a huge contract.

The striker wants to join the Blues but negotiations over a deal are not progressing at the pace that Chelsea would have liked.

Chelsea are yet to walk away from the deal but with hours left in the window, time is rapidly running out for the Premier League club.

The progress in talks has stalled due to the slowing down in negotiations over the incentives in the player’s contract.

Personal terms are still not in place and the player is yet to agree to the details of a proposed deal.

Chelsea are also yet to work out a fee with Napoli who have been keen to see the forward take up the move to Al-Ahli.

While the Blues only have hours to sign Osimhen, Al-Ahli have until Monday to secure an agreement with the striker.
